Escape from Tarkov pre-orders are region-locked. That does not mean that you will have the opportunity to connect only local servers. Regional binding blocks the ability to launch the game outside the region of purchase, since pre-orders of the project are sold at different prices for different regions.

When you place the pre-order on the pre-order page, there is a warning of a region lock and an indication of the region you are currently in.

You can also choose the region when making a gift pre-order.

Pre-order regions:

• CIS Region: Purchases made in this region work only in the CIS countries.
• EU Region (Europe): Purchases made in this region will allow you to launch the game anywhere in the world. You can also upgrade to this region at any time by going back to the pre-order page (Make sure you are logged in). There will be an upgrade button under the package you want to upgrade to.
• Other Region: Purchases made in this region work only in countries outside of EU and CIS countries; all goes to this region and this version of game can be launched anywhere in the world except in Europe regions. May also appear as "USA".

If you try to launch the game outside the region of purchase, error 208 will be displayed.

Few notes to consider:
When purchasing the game as a gift, make sure you select the region that matches the user the gift is intended for.
Make sure you are not using a VPN while making the purchase because this might lead you to purchasing the wrong region version.
If you are planning to move to another region, you can upgrade to EU version at any time through the pre-order page (Make sure you are logged in).
Region lock does not mean you cannot play with other regions or in other servers. It only means that your game can only be physically launched/run in that region.
If you travel a lot, EU version is the way to go.

In order to purchase a pre-order key as a gift, you need to have a registered account (registration/login). Next, you need to go to the pre-order page located on the main page of the site. 

Next, you need to go to the page by clicking on "Buy as a gift" at the bottom right of the page.

Next, you need to select the pre-order region, the number of copies, confirm that you are over 18 years old and pay for the purchase.

After payment, the gift will be sent to the current email address associated with the account, in the form of a key. Give a friend this key, and they will be able to activate the version you purchased in their profile by clicking "Activate promo code". If you have not received an activation code, you can resend it. To do this, go to the profile page and at the bottom right click on the envelope button opposite the transaction you are interested in.

Please note that if the promotional code contains the European version of the pre-order, the region will change.

WARNING You will only be able to launch the game if you are in the same region in which it was purchased. Your current region can be found at the bottom of the pre-order select page. You can read more about the pre-order regions here.

Once you have selected the pre-order package you are interested in, you need to click the "Pre-order" button, confirm that you are over 18 years old by clicking "Accept", make sure the region is suitable and pay for the purchase in the way that is most convenient for you. 

It is worth remembering that different payment methods imply different commissions. The final cost can be seen by selecting a particular method. If you have problems with the payment, you need to contact Xsolla support to solve the problem.

Trial keys

To get you acquainted with the Escape from Tarkov: Arena project, we can provide temporary access keys. The validity period of such keys varies from three days to two weeks.

You can get trial keys in various ways, for example:
- Giveaways on various streams.
- Giveaways by the BattleState Games official representatives.

You can activate a trial key on your profile page on the official website.

After the key activation, your pre-order will be displayed as active in your game profile. 

After the trial period expires, it will also show in the profile that the pre-order has expired.

After the trial key has expired, access to the Game will be terminated, but you can pre-order it on the official website of Escape from Tarkov: Arena.
